International Yoga Day is celebrated to raise awareness about the importance of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and to encourage people to incorporate yoga into their daily routine. Yoga, an ancient practice originating in India, offers a holistic approach to health and wellness, combining physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation, and relaxation techniques.
St Xavier's High school , Sec 49 conducted International Yoga Day - 'Curated Calm' , A journey of the self, through the self, to the self on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
A rejuvenating yoga session led by Ms Sharda Rani, a renowned yoga facilitator was conducted in the school atrium.
 
Parents, teachers and students participated with great enthusiasm and took a pledge to integrate yoga in their lives by practicing it regularly along with their family and encourage friends to take up yoga for a healthier lifestyle.
