St. Xavier's High School organised an Orientation programme for parents of new admission students from Pre Nursery to Grade XI. The programme commenced with the traditional lamp lighting and paying obeisance to the divine by our honourable Chief Guest by Rev. Bendang Toshi. Our Eminent School Director special Mr Tarun Sachdeva addressed the gathering emphasizing on the importance of collaboration between the parents and the school which is indispensable for bringing out the best in the students. Our Respected Director-Principal Sir, Mr John Rafi extended a warm welcome to the parents and shared his vision on the values that need to be inculcated in our young minds for their overall development. The cultural performances including song, dance and theatrical presentation by our enthusiastic children was highly appreciated by the audience.
Parents were introduced to the culture, ethos and functioning of St. Xavier’s High School. The Orientation Programme, emphasised on the holistic development of the child which is the main aim and objective of the school. The roadmap shared with the parents familiarized them about the curriculum, rules and regulations; teaching methodologies and co-scholastic activities for the students of Pre - Primary, Middle and Senior School. The programme provided a platform to outline and reaffirm the teachers’ and parents’ role as partners in the progress of the child. It concluded on a happy note wherein parents and teachers were all geared up for the new academic session.

    An educational trip was organized by the school to the Museum of Illusions and National Science Centre, Delhi for the students of Grade V on 11th March, 2023. The visit proved to be a great way to arouse curiosity in the minds of school students and was a thrilling and motivating experience for our young learners.
    The first stop was the Museum of Illusions in New Delhi which was a unique experience for the students as they derived the opportunity not only to have fun but to learn a lot about vision, perception, human brain and science. The Ames Room, Infinity Room, Reversed Room, Vortex, Colour Room, Building Illusion, Tilted Room, Beuchet chair Illusion, Hollow Face Illusion, Rubin Vase, Kaleidoscope, Swap Noses, Infinity Wall, Infinity Tunnel, Magic box and Holograms to name a few, were some of the delightful and fascinating concepts observed at the Museum of Illusions.
    Post lunch, the students visited the National Science Centre, Delhi wherein they took a tour of the following galleries- Water- the elixir of life, Hall of nuclear power, Our science and technology heritage, Human biology, Pre-historic life, Fun science, Information revolution, Emerging Technologies-Space Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Medical and Biotechnology, Oceanography and Earth Sciences, Agricultural Technology, Material Science, Nanotechnology, Energy and Transportation Technology. The galleries showcased a plethora of exhibits that covered various topics. The Magic tap, Stingless piano, Tesla coils, Energy ball, Marine and freshwater aquariums were some of the main attractions at the Science Centre.
    The Science Centre provided a whole world of wonder and amazement with several interactive ‘hands on’ exhibits. The students were excited and observed all the exhibits minutely. Wrestling the gorilla arm, virtual makeup, find the direction of sound, walking through the mirror maze, infinity well, animated dinosaurs, responding to electric shock, lifting a lid against an electromagnet and many others caught the attention of students instantly and they thoroughly enjoyed being a part of these fun filled activities. On the whole, the visit to the Museum of Illusions and National Science Centre was very informative and enjoyable for the students of Grade V. This trip made learning easy, full of fun and was also a joyful experience for the children which will be imprinted in their memory for ever.

      Students of Grades III & IV enjoyed the screening of the much adored movie, Puss In Boots, The Last Wish at the Airia Mall. The children thoroughly enjoyed this outing on the last day of the examination which helped them to unwind and also bond with their friends over a tub of popcorn. It was a delightful and glorious day for the little ones. A perfect closure to a wonderful and fruitful session.

        "Colours are the smiles of nature and Holi is the festival of colours."
        To make nature smile with all its hues the students of Nursery E presented an assembly on the topic  ‘Holi’. 
        The assembly commenced with invoking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by a thought exhibiting the significance of celebrating this festival. Children performed confidently and joyfully on the stage with a message of love and unity that it conveys. They also shared the importance of playing Holi safely and responsibly by using natural colors and avoiding water wastage. The enthusiastic dance performance was indeed a pleasure to watch.
        The entire performance was highly appreciated by our Respected Director-Principal Sir and Headmistress Ma'am.
        The assembly concluded with the rendition of the School Song and National Anthem.

                   With this thought in mind students of Nursery - D presented an assembly on ‘Rainbow’. The focus of the assembly was on the facts and colors of a rainbow. 
          The assembly commenced with blessings from the Almighty followed by an insightful thought. The rhyme and the dance presentation by the students on the beauty of the rainbow left all spellbound. The entire performance was highly appreciated by our Respected Director - Principal Sir and  Headmistress ma’am.
