On a day brimming with inspiration and learning, the session titled "Pankh - Ek Nayi Udaan: Butterfly Garden" soared to new heights, led by the dynamic resource persons, Ms. Prachi Singh and Ms. Shivani, representing Go Sharpner. They were warmly felicitated and welcomed by the Director-Principal with a token of gratitude. The session unfolded with a profound sense of purpose, focused on nurturing young minds and deepening their connection with the natural world. Ms. Prachi elucidated about the importance of butterflies, their life cycle, host and nectar plants. Her ability to merge scientific facts with captivating storytelling made the session a blend of education and inspiration.
The metaphorical "butterfly garden" became the stage for a transformative experience, where Ms. Prachi with her remarkable expertise, guided the students not only to explore the beauty of butterflies but also to understand their significance in the ecosystem.
The Director-Principal, Ms. Ritu Mehta and Headmistress Ms Geeta Kanwar planted saplings of nectar and host plants. The students were also equally enthralled as they planted and watered the plants in the Butterfly Garden.
The facilitators, with their insightful explanations and hands-on activities, empowered students to think critically about conservation efforts and instilled a sense of responsibility towards protecting biodiversity.
