Independence Day Assembly
The Independence Day celebrations began with a spirited march to the amphitheater, where
students, staff, and guests gathered to commemorate the nation’s freedom. The event commenced
with a Guard of Honour presented by the school’s top sports athletes, symbolizing strength,
discipline, and respect.
The assembly was formally opened with a warm welcome note, setting a positive tone for the day's
proceedings. This was followed by the serene and traditional Ganesh Vandana, seeking blessings
for the success of the event.
Next, Brigadier Bharadwaj, the Chief Guest, was warmly felicitated, symbolising the school’s
sincere respect and gratitude for his esteemed presence.Following the felicitation, the flag hoisting
ceremony took place, a moment of immense pride, as the national flag was unfurled, accompanied
by the National Anthem sung by all in attendance, instilling a deep sense of patriotism.
A soulful patriotic song was then performed by the school choir, which was followed by an
inspiring English speech delivered by Rayan Jacob, School Head Boy who eloquently spoke about
the importance of freedom and responsibility. The assembly continued with a patriotic English
poem, which beautifully captured the essence of independence.
Further enhancing the spirit of nationalism, Hindi speeches were delivered by Avi and Aryaveer,
who both reflected on the contributions of our freedom fighters and the significance of this day. A
choral recitation was performed next, serving as a tribute to the soldiers who protect the nation’s
sovereignty.
The Chief Guest then shared their words of wisdom, emphasizing the role of young minds in
shaping the future of the nation. The Director Principal then addressed the gathering, delivering an
inspiring message that highlighted the values of freedom and the importance of education in
shaping a strong nation. Following this, the much-anticipated Inter-House Nukkad Natak
competition was introduced.
The Nukkad Natak performances showcased the creativity and talent of the students, with each
house presenting a powerful message related to social issues and patriotism. These performances
were followed by a patriotic group dance, which added vibrancy and energy to the assembly,
celebrating the cultural diversity of the country.
The results of the Nukkad Natak competition were announced, adding an element of excitement and
competition to the event. St. Nicholas house backed the first position followed by St.Raphael
House.This was followed by the distribution of certificates, recognising the efforts and
achievements of students in various fields.
The event was officially closed with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed
to making the celebration a success.
