“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.”

Students from St Xavier’s High School, Sector 49 , on 20th December, joined the ‘I am Gurgaon’ team for an eco-adventure trail plus a session on understanding segregation of waste at Badshahpur corridor- recycling unit, Gurugram.

They kicked off with a lively chat with the Sustainability Leader about the importance of cleanliness, waste segregation and recycling, then set off on a mission to clean up the track together.

After collecting the litter, students were shown how to sort the waste into recyclable ,non-recyclable and hazardous waste. Students while practically learning to segregate waste also presented their innovative ideas to keep waste out of landfills in Gurugram.
Responsibility lies at the door of Gurugram’s residents. Students understood how they can lend a hand by tackling their own household waste. Helping people do it is ‘I Am Gurgaon’, a reputed citizen’s initiative to green the concrete jungle of Gurugram. Its success in converting a large stretch of barren land into the lush Aravali Biodiversity Park was in front of them. 🌳

To wrap it all up, students were full of gratitude towards the environmentalists and were
wiser after learning about waste reduction can be fun!

Seeing the students so engaged and excited made it clear: every little effort counts towards a cleaner, greener future!

The concept of a Safe Circle was introduced, encouraging children to identify trusted adults they can approach in case of discomfort. The session was interactive, and the children showed great enthusiasm as they participated in discussions and activities.

To reinforce their learning, the students also completed a specially designed worksheet, which helped them internalize the concepts in a fun and creative way.

We are proud to see our little ones becoming more aware and confident about their safety!

“I would rather be a little nobody than to be an evil to somebody,” rightly quoted by Abraham Lincoln.
An insightful workshop was organized for students of Grade 1 and Grade2 on the topic “Bully to Buddy” by Fortis Hospital. The session was conducted by Ms. Aarushi Saluja, an expert from Fortis Hospital, who skilfully guided our young learners on the importance of kindness, empathy, and building positive relationships.
Bullying is a concerning issue that affects individuals of all ages, especially children and adolescents. It often involves an imbalance of power, where the person bullying has more strength, popularity, or influence than the one being bullied. Bullying can take many forms, such as name-calling, teasing, hitting, spreading rumours, or excluding someone from a group. It can happen in person, online, or in any social setting. The impact of bullying can be serious, leading to feelings of fear, sadness, or loneliness for the person being targeted.
The students participated enthusiastically, sharing their thoughts and learning practical ways to stand up for themselves and others. They left the session inspired to be better friends and classmates.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fortis Hospital for conducting this impactful workshop and helping shape a supportive and inclusive environment in our school.

St. Xavier’s High School, sector 49 hosted an enchanting Overnight Camp for Grades I, II and III students on 6th and 7th December 2024, transforming the school premises into a lively adventure ground. The event commenced as the young campers immersed themselves in thrilling adventure and activities organised by ROCKSPORT Adventure Program including Zip line, Tug of war, Commando net, Burma bridge etc which they tackled with enthusiasm. The highlight of the evening was the foot tapping music played by DJ that saw all the cherubs dance with great zeal and zest. Laughter and joy echoed around the Bonfire as friendships blossomed and memories were made. The camp was packed with scrumptious meals along with delicious snacks at regular intervals were relished by the students. The night was filled with excitement where our young Xaverians explored the stars and the moon under the night sky.
The camp was not just about having fun- it was a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education, providing opportunities to grow beyond the classroom; fostering independence, teamwork, and confidence in a safe, supportive environment. Our students embraced the experiences and created memories they will cherish for years to come.

🌟 Be the Light and Make This World a Better Place 🌟*

Today, our young stars of kindergarten shone brightly during their class assembly on the theme "Be the Light and Make This World a Better Place."* With immense confidence and enthusiasm, the children shared inspiring lines on how kindness, love, and positivity can brighten the world around us.

The assembly concluded with a mesmerizing dance performance, symbolizing the joy and unity that light brings into our lives.

Our Headmistress Ma’am beautifully emphasized the importance of being kind and gentle in her speech. She encouraged everyone to spread the light of compassion and positivity, making the world a better place for all.

We are so proud of our little ones for their wonderful efforts and for reminding us all to be the light in someone’s life! ✨

                                    Gratitude in Little Hands

                                    Gratitude in Little Hands!*
This Thanksgiving, our pre-primary students celebrated the spirit of gratitude through creative and heartwarming craft activities. With tiny hands and big hearts, they made beautiful crafts that expressed their appreciation for family, friends, and all the little joys in life.

The activities not only sparked their creativity but also helped instill the value of thankfulness in their young minds. It was wonderful to see their excitement and happiness as they crafted their messages of gratitude.

Let’s keep spreading the spirit of Thanksgiving and cherish the blessings we have!

"A Tale Retold: Little Red Riding Hood Enchants Xavier’s Stage"

St. Xavier’s High School, Sector 49, hosted its Annual Concert on November 30, 2024, featuring a heartwarming performance of Little Red Riding Hood by the students of Nascent and Nursery. The evening began with the Lighting of the Lamp ceremony, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment, graced by Chief Guest Lt. Dr. Rita Gangwani, Guest of Honour Shefali Malhotra, Director-Principal Ms. Ritu Mehta, and Pre-Primary Headmistress Ms. Aparna Chandra. Reverend Ben Toshi blessed the gathering, joined by other dignitaries, including Ms. Shivani, Coordinator, Sector 81, and Primary Coordinator Ms. Nimeesha Kapoor.

The young performers captivated the audience with colorful costumes, lively choreography, and expressive storytelling. From Little Red Riding Hood to the swaggy Wolf and playful woodland creatures, every character brought the tale to life, leaving the audience enthralled and entertained.

This magical evening reflected the creativity and enthusiasm of Xavier’s tiny tots and the collective efforts of students, teachers, and parents. Heartfelt gratitude goes to everyone who contributed to this unforgettable celebration.
