Champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them – a desire, a dream, a vision.
The most loved event of the year which the students very longingly look forward to is the Annual Athletic Meet. St. Xavier’s’s High School Senior School celebrated the Annual Athletic Meet on February 7, 2023, on the sprawling grounds of the school.
The aim behind holding the event was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports in students. It was a day filled with fervour and exhilaration, amidst thrills and cheers.
The Director Principal, Mr John Rafi, presided over the spectacular, impressive and well synchronised March Past of the four Houses. He also presided over the Oath taking ceremony, lit the ceremonial torch and declared the Meet open.
It was a delight to see the excitement with which the students challenged themselves to attempt a variety of races.
It was hard to hold on, it was even harder to let go! That’s what our students told us when they participated in the inter-house Tug O’ War.
The values of patience, perseverance and persistence learnt on the playing fields of Xaviers will hold our students in good stead.
The Director Principal, addressed the students, laying emphasis on the need to imbibe qualities of discipline, sportsmanship spirit and to never be disappointed by failure in life.
The Meet culminated with the Award Ceremony, where the winners were awarded medals.
