*Special Assembly on Diwali: A Celebration of Light and Wisdom*

As the corridors filled with the fragrance of marigolds and the spirit of joy sparkled all around, the class assembly, conducted by Xaverians brought together the essence of Diwali – the Festival of Lights. The students honoured a tradition that goes beyond lights and sweets, a celebration deeply rooted in history, culture and values.

The students narrated seven background stories on Diwali to unravel the various legends of Diwali. The timeless stories reminded everyone of the rich heritage the festival of Diwali celebrates and the universal themes of good triumphing over evil, love and the victory of knowledge over ignorance.

The thespians of the class presented a play conveying a message to all about eco-friendly Diwali celebration. Through the play, the students conveyed the importance of celebrating Diwali in harmony with nature and taking meaningful actions like choosing earthen diyas, avoiding harmful crackers and protecting the environment. 

The talented and mellifluous singers enchanted the audience with a Diwali song, "Happy Diwali", a melody that brings out the joyful essence of Diwali. 

The assembly concluded with a vibrant dance performance set to the tune of traditional Diwali music. With their energetic steps and colorful attire, the  dancers captured the festive spirit, the joy and the rhythm of celebration.

The Director-Principal, Ms. Ritu Mehta appreciated the assembly and conveyed timeless messages of  bringing light to every corner, sharing warmth with every soul and celebrating the festive occasion with a heart full of gratitude and care for the world around us.
