Online Indo-Russian Exchange Programme – September 2024

In an enriching cultural exchange this September, St. Xavier's High School (SXHS) participated in an online Indo-Russian Exchange Programme , bringing students from both nations together to celebrate their traditions and schools.

Russian students impressed everyone with engaging presentations about their holidays, a captivating traditional dance performance, and a deep dive into the history of their school. On the other hand, our SXHS students took pride in showcasing Indian festivals through an informative presentation and offering a virtual tour of St. Xavier's High School.

The highlight of the event was the lively interaction between students from both countries, who exchanged thoughts, experiences, and a deeper understanding of each other's culture.

The event beautifully highlighted the power of cultural exchange, leaving students with a wealth of knowledge and connections that  last a lifetime.

“Grandparents are the ones who always make us feel like we are the most important person in the world.’
The Pre-Primary wing of St. Xavier’s High School, sector 49, celebrated Grandparents’ Day on September 7, 2024, to honor the love, wisdom, and guidance that grandparents bring to our lives. The day commenced with the blessings from the almighty ‘Lord Ganesha’  as it was the first day of Ganesh puja, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony. The school echoed with notes of the melodious welcome song dedicated to the beloved grandparents by our young Xavierians. Our Director-Principal addressed the gathering and appreciated all the grandparents for the being the pillars of support and giving their unconditional love to shape values and traditions in our young learners. The celebration featured song and dance performances, intergenerational quizzes, and one-minute games, which added fun and created lasting memories. Grandparents shared their wisdom, stories of resilience, humor, and life experiences. The celebration filled with joyful chatters and laughter and the warmth of family bonds reminded us all of the special place grandparents hold in our hearts and the irreplaceable role they play in our lives. A special eco-friendly ‘Sow and Grow plantable seed pencil’ was presented to every grandparent as a token of gratitude for their enduring love and support. Here’s a glimpse of the heartwarming moments from our grandparents' day celebrations!
