The students and teachers were briefed by Mr. Jas Kalra, the current President of The Earth Saviour’s Foundation. He shared valuable morals and inspiring experiences. The teachers and students then proceeded to interact with the people inhabited in the foundation. ‘Save Soil’ is a global movement launched by Indian spiritual leader ‘Sadhguru’ to address land degradation and advocate for healthy soil. While Sadhguru is on his ‘Save Soil’ road trip from London, supporting his ‘Save Soil’ movement , we at St. Xavier’s organized various soil conservation activities throughout the week to create awareness about the same.

The children of Pre-Nursery, Nursery and KG were told about the importance of soil conservation using stories, oral discussions, songs and PPTs.
Students of Grade 1 and Grade 2 expressed their creativity and illustrated their thoughts on ‘How to Save Soil’ through a ‘Poster Making’ activity and a ‘Declamation’, respectively. The students also wrote letters to our respected Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi presenting him their ideas on ‘How to Save Soil’.

Xavierians’ plea for healing the world and making it a better place to live!

‘The real and lasting victories are those of peace and not of war.’ History has witnessed a multitude of wars which have taken place during different timelines and eras between different countries. The consequences of war are detrimental to a country and the society at large. Russia-Ukraine War testifies this.
War is no solution rather peace is the pathway to development and prosperity for a society. In the absence of peace and harmony, achieving political strength, cultural growth and economic stability will not be possible.

Xaverians believe that sustaining tranquility is not an individual responsibility but a shared goal of the whole society.

Keeping this vision in mind, our compassionate Xaverians of Grade VII and VIII presented a ‘Rally - Peace, Unity and Harmony’ and raised slogans urging Russia and Ukraine to end the war. Thought-provoking speech by young Xaverians emphasised the significance of peace and solicited the audience to spread the message of love. There was also an inspiring dance and musical performance followed by citing slogans for curbing violence in any form.
Parents expressed their appreciation for the great initiative the school has taken to stand up and help make a difference.

                Mother’s Day 2022

Whether it’s a whinge, demand, expression of love or just exasperation, children say “mum” or mummy numerous times a day. It’s her unconditional love that gives her strength to be the strongest pillar in the lives of her children. The bond between mother and child is inexplicable.

To celebrate this bond of affection, Mother’s Day was celebrated and enjoyed by The Pre-Primary Wing in St. Xavier’s High School across the whole week with classes Pre-Nursery to Grade 2.The children expressed their love for their moms by gifting them cute decorated hearts made out of clay. To surprise their mothers, children danced on the tunes of “I love my mommy”. This left their super moms feeling emotional and special. The whole day was full of events in which all the mothers participated enthusiastically. Musical chairs were a big hit amongst them.

The fun Zumba session left all of them feeling upbeat and all the mommies danced tirelessly leaving the environment positive and joyous. Classes 1 and 2 celebrated this wonderful day with their beautiful mothers with a bunch of activities like Goodie Bag Activity, in which they enacted the instructions in a fun way. Nightingales-sing together and Fashion Fiesta, both the activities remained the highlights of the day as the Super Moms shared the stage with their little ones to showcase their talents. The day ended with innumerable infectious smiles, clicks and laughter with a promise to be back again to celebrate this wonderful bond next year.
