“Grandparents hold our tiny hands for just a little while, but our hearts forever.”
Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. They are the founders of a loving legacy, greatest story-tellers and the keepers of traditions. Grandparents Day gives us an opportunity to show our respect and gratitude towards them.
To honour and to make them feel special, St. Xavier’s High School, celebrated Grandparents Day with great enthusiasm on 13 September, 2022 at sector 49. The event started with a warm traditional welcome by our tiny tots, followed by a prayer for the grandparents to keep them blessed with good health. Our little learners gave a loving tribute to their grandparents showcasing their dancing skills. Various games were organised for the grandparents in the classes. Some of the enthusiastic grandparents participated with great zeal in the Ramp Walk along with their grandchildren. They enjoyed dancing on old melodies of their era and singing devotional songs that added vibrant to the event.
The students of Pre-nursery, Nursery and KG celebrated this special event with lots of love and excitement. Children made colourful cards for the grandparents expressing their gratitude for them. The grandparents were overwhelmed to receive the token of love from their grandchildren.
Grandparents day was a memorable one for the grandparents, with pleasant memories, loads of appreciation and heaps of blessings to the school and the management.

Celebrating events and festivals and keeping our learners rooted in our rich culture has become an integral part of learning and building a strong cultural belief in every child at
St. Xavier’s High School, sec-49. We strongly believe such celebrations bring students closer to traditional and cultural beliefs.
To celebrate this propitious festival, Grade 2-G students organized a special assembly on Ganesh Chaturthi on 6th September 2022 with great zeal and enthusiasm.
As a part of hands on activity students of Grade-Nursery crafted beautiful idols of Lord Ganesh with paper cups.
The significance of the festival enlightened everyone with a lesson that even gods are bound to fulfil their duties, especially towards a parent.
