sprouting with roots strongly placed. The learning opportunities provided to
the students imbibe leadership skills.

VI-VIII got the unforgettable opportunity to participate in the Student
Exchange Programme to Russia.
The Gala Event began on
12th October, the students received a very warm and hospitable
welcome at school number 1 at the city of Evanteevka, Russia. The luminous
smiles and sparkling eyes of the Russian families who had come to receive their
guest students gave a very warm and comforting feeling.The students gradually
moved with their host families. The evening of 13thwas an inhouse
welcome programme organised by the host school. Students got an opportunity to
know the host families. The families left no stone unturned to get the best of
learning opportunities for the students as they explored Yuri Gagarin’s Science
Museum, visited the Film Studio of Russia at Moscow City, enjoyed the local
native cuisines and relished the Chai.

City also gave the students an opportunity of exploring the beautiful Red
Square of Moscow. The students were enthralled to see the beautiful Kremlin and
St. Basil’s Cathedral. They also walked on the Victory Path , which is an important
part of the city during the Victory Day Celebrations.
The students were
reprised with the learning opportunities with Russian students. The learners
also attended painting, dance and music lessons. The Exchange Programme also
included a special lesson on “I Love India, I love Russia”.
The days student spent
with the Russian students and their host family had not only given them ample
learning but also helped them develop an eternal bond with them, giving them
friends for lifetime.
The departure was an
event with numb eyes and smiling lips. A grand farewell at the Town Hall graced
by all the eminent figures of the town, respectable principals of Evanteevka
City, and graced by the benign presence of the city’s Deputy Mayor. The
talented Russian students gave foot tapping cultural performances, walked ramp
in the traditional dresses and showcased their talent in gymnastics. Then came
the chance to take the stage by the unforgettable performance when Xaverians
rocked. The audience gave a thunderous applaud to the little nimble who exhibited
the culture of the nation by their dance performance.
The event had been one
inspiring trip which has set an impression on their lives for
many more years to come.
