As part of the Christmas celebrations and under the theme “My School – My Family,” special craft activity sessions were conducted for our Grade 1 students with the enthusiastic support of parent volunteers. These sessions beautifully reflected the spirit of togetherness, collaboration, and shared responsibility between school and parents.
The activities included Christmas-themed painting and making festive pencil toppers, creating a joyful and engaging learning experience for our young learners. Students enthusiastically participated in painting activities, creating drawings of Christmas trees, snowmen, and stars. This activity helped enhance their fine motor skills, creativity, imagination, and ability to express festive emotions through art.
The pencil topper activity, thoughtfully designed with a Christmas touch, further captivated the students. As they carefully crafted and decorated their pencil toppers, children developed focus, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to follow instructions.
The sessions were led with great patience and warmth by our parent volunteers—Ms. Supriya Khurana, who conducted the Christmas Tree Painting activity, and Ms. Neha Sharma, who guided the Pencil Topper activity. They encouraged creativity, guided students step by step, and spoke to them about the joy of sharing, caring, and celebrating Christmas together, reinforcing the values that bind our school community like a family.
The atmosphere throughout the sessions was cheerful and filled with excitement, truly reflecting the spirit of Christmas. Overall, the craft activities were a great success and added deeper meaning to the celebrations by beautifully blending creativity, learning, parental involvement, and festive joy.
