Foundational (Nascent - II)

The first eight years are crucial in a child’s life, as they begin to absorb the world around them and develop foundational skills. The experiences children have during these early years profoundly impact their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Guided by our vision, we have adopted a pervasive, learner-centric teaching methodology that focuses on three key pillars: Explore, Engage, and Excel. Learning begins with exploration— where the shaping and reshaping of ideas and projects are integral. For learning-based projects, it is essential that children immerse themselves in ideas and concepts, exploring them from all angles.

By combining the strengths of the Finnish education system, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) British Curriculum, and the National Education Policy (NEP), we have developed a rich and comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century. We integrate play-based learning that encourages exploration, innovation, and critical thinking, while also emphasizing phenology to deepen environmental awareness. Our approach highlights interdisciplinary learning and promotes self-directed, student-led exploration. Through the EYFS curriculum, we focus on developing communication, physical, social, and emotional skills, alongside targeted areas like literacy, mathematics, and the arts.

We prioritize continuous observation and assessment to ensure the curriculum's effectiveness. Strong partnerships with parents foster a seamless connection between home and school, enriching students’ learning experiences. By collaborating with parents, we create a supportive environment that maximizes each child's potential.

Aligned with the NEP framework, we personalize teaching and learning, allowing flexibility to meet individual student needs, while also providing educators with the necessary resources and professional development. This approach ensures that our students are not only academically prepared but also equipped with the essential skills to thrive in the future.
