‘Save Soil’ is a global movement launched by Indian spiritual leader ‘Sadhguru’ to address land degradation and advocate for healthy soil. While Sadhguru is on his ‘Save Soil’ road trip from London, supporting his ‘Save Soil’ movement , we at St. Xavier’s organized various soil conservation activities throughout the week to create awareness about the same.
The children of Pre-Nursery, Nursery and KG were told about the importance of soil conservation using stories, oral discussions, songs and PPTs.
Students of Grade 1 and Grade 2 expressed their creativity and illustrated their thoughts on ‘How to Save Soil’ through a ‘Poster Making’ activity and a ‘Declamation’, respectively. The students also wrote letters to our respected Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi presenting him their ideas on ‘How to Save Soil’.
