Day 4 at St. Xavier’s High School summer camp was filled with vibrant activities and joyful learning. Children enjoyed a captivating puppet show, Little Lion Learns to Roar, which taught them about confidence and perseverance. They followed it up by making their own lion finger puppets.

Next, the energy soared as the campers danced to lively music, expressing themselves freely and having a blast. Creativity took center stage during the tie and dye activity, where kids transformed plain hankies into colorful masterpieces.

Their global adventure continued with a fun exploration of Africa, learning about its rich culture and wildlife. To celebrate their learning, the children crafted beautiful African masks.

It was a delightful day brimming with creativity, movement, and meaningful discoveries!

Summer Retreat – Day 3 :Kindness, Creativity & Camp Vibes

Day 3 of the Summer Camp at St. Xavier’s High School was a perfect mix of creativity, joy, and meaningful learning. The day began with students diving into a hands-on activity where they sculpted miniature characters, expressing emotions and stories through their art. This was followed by a rhythmic group experience where the campers used musical instruments and body percussion to create a lively harmony, celebrating teamwork and coordination.

As the day warmed up, laughter echoed around the splash pool as children enjoyed a refreshing break, strengthening friendships in a relaxed, playful setting. Post-refreshment, an interactive English session kept the energy high, with vocabulary games, storytelling, and creative writing that sparked imagination and confidence.

The day wrapped up on a thoughtful note with the story of Rupa Hathi a gentle elephant whose tale of kindness and courage touched every heart. Children shared their reflections and ended with a joyful headgear craft inspired by the story. With every passing day, the camp continues to nurture confidence, creativity, and cherished memories.

Summer Retreat – Day 2 : A Joyful Blend of Fun, Learning & Creativity!

The Day -2 of Pre-Primary Summer Camp, was a delightful and enriching experience for our little learners. The camp was organized with the goal of providing a fun, safe, and stimulating environment where children could explore, learn, and enjoy the spirit of summer.

Day -2 was filled with engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of pre-primary students. The schedule included:

Creative Osis: Children created colorful artwork using paper, clay, stones or pebbles and paints. Their creativity shone brightly in every piece.

Storytelling Sessions (Kathashala) : Teachers narrated fun and moral-based stories that kept the children captivated and encouraged their imagination and listening skills.

Harmony trails (Music and Dance) : Daily music and movement sessions were a hit, as children danced freely and enjoyed singing songs and rhymes.

Skating , Gymnastics, Cosmic yoga and Splash pool: With proper supervision, children had great fun with splash pools and other activities helping them develop sensory and motor skills.

Brain booster & Global Talk helped children to develop social skills, coordination, and teamwork through their variety of activities.

Overall the Day -2 of summer camp was a joyful and memorable experience that allowed our young ones to learn through play and build confidence in a cheerful setting.

Xaverians Celebrate Teamwork and Triumphs in Grade 10-D’s Assembly Presentation

Grade 10-D conducted a vibrant and inspiring assembly on the theme “One Team, One Dream”, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, celebrating the essence of unity, collaboration, and shared aspirations. The assembly featured a thoughtful skit and an impactful TED Talk, both of which captivated the audience and reinforced the importance of working together to achieve greatness.

The event also included the announcement of the G.D. Goenka MUN results and the Sports Tournament achievements, where our talented Xaverians made us proud by securing the prestigious Runner-up Trophy.

The students were felicitated by the Director Principal Ms. Ritu Mehta and Senior Head Mistress, Ms. Malabika Chattopadhyay, who appreciated their dedication, spirit, and teamwork. The Principal emphasized that success is rooted in trust, unity, and a shared dream, and encouraged the practice of beginning every assembly with two positive affirmations to foster mindfulness and self-belief among students.

It was a morning of pride, positivity, and purpose—truly reflecting the Xavier spirit.

Grade I & II Explore Green Living: Educational Trip to a Plant Nursery

To promote experiential learning and environmental awareness, St. Xavier’s High School, Sector 49, organized an educational trip to a plant nursery for Grade I and II students in the month of May 2025.
Surrounded by greenery, students explored a wide variety of plants—shrubs, creepers, herbs, cacti, bonsai, and flowering species. They interacted with the nursery gardener, gaining insights into plant care, composting, and the role of plants in purifying the air. They identified parts of a plant, understood what plants need to grow, and learned the difference between indoor and outdoor plants.
The activity nurtured their naturalistic intelligence and reinforced the importance of SDG 15: Life on Land—protecting, restoring, and promoting sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems. Each student received a small planter to take home, encouraging them to begin their own eco-friendly journey.This hands-on experience helped our young learners connect with nature, deepening their understanding and responsibility toward a greener future.

The first day of our Summer Retreat was brimming with enthusiasm, curiosity, and creative exploration! Our young learners immersed themselves in a series of thoughtfully planned, engaging activities that sparked both joy and learning.

The day began with a captivating storytelling session during Kathashala where imaginations took flight. In the STEAM class, children became little scientists as they experimented with color mixing, marveling at the magic of new hues coming to life.

The Creative Oasis opened up a world of artistic possibilities, introducing fresh techniques that encouraged self-expression through art. Another highlight of the day was Sculpting Persona, where learners discovered the power of magical words like “please,” “thank you,” and “sorry” — followed by a delightful takeaway craft to reinforce these values in a fun, meaningful way.

Beyond the classrooms, our retreaters enjoyed physical activities like splash pool fun, skating, and gymnastics, where they got to beat the heat, develop coordination, and build confidence while staying active and energetic.

The day concluded with an enriching Global Talk session, leaving everyone refreshed and inspired. Day 1 set a beautiful tone for the retreat — full of smiles, learning, movement, and meaningful moments shared between students and teachers alike.

The Mother’s Day celebration at St. Xavier’s High School, sector 49, on May 9, 2025 was a heartwarming and vibrant event that paid tribute to the invaluable role of mothers in our lives, who were the special guests for the day.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting by Director-Principal ma’am, Pre-primary and Primary Headmistress along with some mothers, setting a serene and respectful tone for the event. The celebration commenced with poem recitations, where students of Grade I shared heartfelt verses that highlighted the selfless love, sacrifices, and strength of mothers. A beautifully synchronized choir performance by KG students dedicated to motherhood was a soulful experience. The stage came alive with graceful dance performances by students of UKG and grade II. Their coordinated movements and expressive gestures touched the hearts of everyone present. The highlight of the event was the Ramp Walk competition as dressed elegantly in colourful sarees, mothers walked the ramp with poise and grace, showcasing confidence, beauty, and pride in their traditional attire. Their smiles and charisma lit up the stage and drew huge cheers from the audience. The celebration continued with an exciting Dance Competition, where our super talented moms delivered energetic and joyful performances that amazed one and all. Laughter and excitement filled the atrium as mothers participated with great zeal and sportsmanship in several one-minute games.

The event concluded with a heartfelt thank-you note by Director-Principal ma’am, recognizing the unwavering support and love that mothers provide followed by the National Anthem. The day was a perfect blend of emotions, entertainment, and appreciation, making it a memorable celebration for all our super moms.

Little Bankers in Action: KG Students Explore the World of Money at HDFC Bank

KG Students Visit HDFC Bank

The Kindergarten students had an exciting and educational visit to the nearby HDFC Bank today. The visit was organized to introduce young learners to the concept of money and the important role banks play in our daily lives.

The bank staff gave the children a warm welcome and guided them through various sections of the bank, including the teller counter. The students were shown how people deposit and withdraw money and were fascinated by the machines and computers used in the banking process.

Teachers also took this opportunity to explain the importance of money and the value of saving it. A day before the visit, the children participated in a fun activity where they deposited coins into a piggy bank. Through this hands-on experience, they learned how small steps in saving money can make a big difference over time.

On the occasion of World Athletics Day, the students of Grade VIII C at St. Xavier’s High School presented a heartwarming and powerful assembly on 6th May, 2025, celebrating the theme "Rags to Riches" through the lens of sports legends who rose from humble beginnings to global fame.

The assembly began with a prayer and a motivational thought that echoed the belief that talent knows no boundaries, and true determination can overcome any obstacle. The highlight of the event was a lively and insightful talk show, where students role-played as iconic athletes who once struggled with poverty and societal challenges, yet achieved greatness with sheer grit and perseverance.

Characters included Milkha Singh, the “Flying Sikh” who overcame the trauma of Partition; Geeta and Babita Phogat, daughters of a wrestler who broke stereotypes; Irfan Pathan, who trained in modest surroundings and went on to shine on the cricket field; Neeraj Chopra, who hurled himself into history with a golden javelin; Mary Kom, who boxed her way from a small village to Olympic glory; and global football star Cristiano Ronaldo, who came from a poor family in Portugal and became one of the greatest athletes of all time.

Following the talk show, a beautiful and original poem dedicated to athletes was recited, praising their spirit, struggle, and success. It was a tribute to the unwavering dedication that drives champions.

The energy peaked with a vibrant and powerful dance performance by the students of Grade VIII C, which celebrated the strength, discipline, and unbreakable spirit of athletes across the world.

The Director-Principal, Ms. Ritu Mehta, addressed the gathering with words of encouragement and praised the students for showcasing such powerful stories of transformation. She reminded everyone that sports are not just about physical strength, but also about courage, discipline, and rising above one’s circumstances.

The assembly concluded with the national anthem, leaving the audience inspired and uplifted by stories of true champions who turned their struggles into stepping stones to success.
