    Fountas & Pinnell Reading Programme

    In order to augment a lasting love of reading, it’s crucial that we build a strong reading culture at school. 
     
    Aligned to this, St Xavier’s High School is delighted to introduce Fountas & Pinnell Reading Levels, a well-researched, internationally accepted and honoured literacy curriculum resource. Fountas & Pinnell are two of the biggest names in literacy from the US and have been operating for over 4 decades.
    The aim is to nurture each child's reading and writing skills in elementary classes with the usage of ‘Interactive Read-Aloud’ programme. Grade III will be introduced to ‘The Guided Reading’ whereas ‘Strong Novel Reading’ and ‘Thinking and Writing Program’ will be initiated in Grades IV & V
    We invite you to an orientation session for the same on Saturday , 19 th March 2022 at 11:00 am for an insight into the whole programme, our road map, and its execution.

            St. Xavier's High School, Sector-49 inaugurated its state-of-the-art Amphitheatre on the special occasion of Women's Day in association with Times of India with the event 'Beyond A Woman: As Dreams have No Gender' on March 8, 2022. To mark this special day and our respect for women, International Para Athlete, Ms Kanchan Lakhani was invited as the chief guest. A panel discussion on 'Forging a Path for the Women of the Future' was organised wherein erudite and renowned women from different walks of life were invited as panelists.

            The event witnessed some scintillating performances where the little Xaverians of grades I and II tapped their feet on the peppy numbers followed by the splendid singing by the teachers' choir on the song 'Chattan'. Tableau presentation by the students of grades IX and XI stole the show. The Director-Principal spoke on the importance of women in our lives emphasising on their role and position in contemporary society.
            The amphitheatre is thoughtfully planned to inspire a learning experience and encourage participation for academic and cultural activities. The generous space and modern design make it the perfect venue for plenty of upcoming activities and events.
