The spirit of festivity and togetherness illuminated the amphitheatre of St. Xavier’s High School during the Deepawali Special Assembly held on October 17, 2025, presented by the Middle and Senior Wing.
The celebration commenced with a warm welcome note by the emcees, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness. The event featured soulful performances including Ganesh Vandana, speeches in English and Hindi, a musical presentation, and insightful tips on celebrating a safe and eco-friendly Diwali.
Students of the Senior Wing led the Green Diwali Pledge and presented a melodious Hindi song, spreading the message of sustainability and harmony.
The highlight of the morning was the inspiring address by the Director Principal, Ms. Ritu Mehta, who lauded the students for their achievements across various fields and invited them to share their experiences with peers. In her motivational address, she beautifully expressed, “If you can’t be Lord Rama, be like Tulsi,” emphasizing the value of goodness, humility, and positive influence.
The assembly concluded with the School Song and the National Anthem, echoing pride and unity.
The event was graced by Ms. Malabika Chattopadhyay, Headmistress (Senior Wing) and Ms. Geeta Kanwar, Headmistress (Junior Wing), whose encouragement and presence added warmth to the celebration.
The celebration ended with Inter – House Rangoli Making Competition which added more essence to the festivities.
