The Felicitation Ceremony – Eminence: Aspirations to Achievement hosted by St. Xavier’s High School, Sector 49, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, overflowed with the jubilance of academic triumph. The occasion stood as a glowing tribute to diligence, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence. The ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Prof. Bijayalaxmi Nanda, Principal of Miranda House, University of Delhi, as the Chief Guest, and Reverend Bendang Toshi as the Guest of Honour. Director-Principal Ms. Ritu Mehta, faculty members proud parents, and the celebrated student achievers.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome, followed by the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony – “Illuminance”, signifying the enlightenment that education brings. Guests were felicitated, and Reverend Toshi offered an invocation of blessings for the young achievers. The ambiance was elevated by a dignified processional march, a harmonious choral presentation, and the uplifting rendition of a hymn.
In her address, Ms. Ritu Mehta, Director-Principal, praised the commitment and perseverance of the students, and the consistent efforts of the faculty in nurturing academic excellence. She encouraged the learners to continue dreaming, striving, and rising beyond limitations.
The academic honours began with the felicitation of Grade X and XII achievers who excelled in the CBSE Board Examinations for the session 2024–25. This was followed by the recognition of Subject Toppers, Academic Excellence awardees from Grades IX and XI, and Super Scholars for sustained scholastic distinction. Students who had displayed exceptional regularity through 100% attendance were also acknowledged and applauded.A breathtaking dance performance, blending classical elegance and modern expression, captivated the audience—symbolizing courage, endurance, and aspiration in perfect harmony with the theme of the day.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Nanda, in her inspiring address, called upon students to not only pursue academic brilliance but to cultivate empathy, social awareness, and ethical leadership. Her words resonated deeply with all present, igniting a spirit of reflection and purpose.
The formal proceedings concluded with a sincere Vote of Thanks delivered by Senior Headmistress Ms. Malabika Chattopadhyay, who expressed deep appreciation to the honoured guests, faculty, parents, and students for making the event a resounding success. The celebration drew to a close with the spirited singing of the school song and the National Anthem, instilling a shared sense of pride and unity.
