"You may not be able to control the whole world, but you may learn to control your inner world through yoga.”
Day-4 of Yoga Week- Curated Calm-Mud Therapy Session
Yoga plays a crucial role in promoting health in a holistic manner by improving
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Yoga can be termed as a one-size-
fits-all solution to fight stress and also alleviate other ailments including depression
and anxiety.
St. Xavier’s High School, Sec-49 conducted a Mud Therapy Session on the 4th day of the International Yoga Day celebration. Ms Malkeet, the yoga facilitator equipped everyone with the Mud Therapy and its benefits on 27th June, 2022.
She emphasized that mud is refreshing, invigorating, vitalizing and gives a cooling effect to the body. It dilutes and absorbs the toxic substances of the body and ultimately eliminates them from the body. It relaxes the muscles, improves blood circulation and helps to regulate the metabolism. She also demonstrated a few techniques using mud therapy, which created awareness among the audience on the subject.
She spoke on how yoga affects the mind and can help us control our
thoughts, inspire positive thinking and keep us anxiety-free. She elaborated on the
specific traditional remedies inspired by the ancient sciences that can help to build
immunity.
Participants and the audience enjoyed the session thoroughly.
