Hold on pain ends, Hope is within us , it’s only the grey days wherein the hope shakes. Have faith in the Almighty and he will stand by you in all the odd times, just have hope. With this thought in mind the students of grade 7A conducted today’s assembly. The assembly began by seeking the Almighty’s blessings wherein Saara Tiwari and Bhumika read the Lord’s prayer. Sunandini narrated a beautiful story showing faith in the Lord. Poem is a beautiful medium of expressing ones feelings thus, Sarah Kurian recited a poem about how we can conquer the invincible mountains with hope in the heart. A beautiful thought changes your life forever, Areeb Asad read the thought for the day.

The news were read by Aarush, Saanidhya, Sagar, Amaan. The assembly was concluded by singing the school song.

Class VIII conducted today's morning assembly which was dedicated to the greatest playwright William Shakespeare. Dishita Lohra and Adya Jain conducted the assembly, which began by seeking Lord's prayer by Kavya Singh and Kartik Saxena. The students shared Shakespeare’s classic literature by a short introduction of his books. They read outline of his masterpiece like Hamlet, Othello, Julius Ceasar, Romeo Juliet, A Mid Summers Night Dream. Kavya Singh read thought of the day which was followed by the news update. The Principal, Mr. Nicholas Gomes appreciated the effort made by the students and motivated them to participate in such future endeavours too.

Teenagers nowadays are alarmed, updated and tech savvy. The world is now a global village, which is just a click away. Even schools and their education system primarily depend upon the cyber world, so there arises a need to know the rules for cyber safety. To update our students of grade VI – VIII, a workshop on cyber safety was conducted by Ms. Sushili Laishram, senior member of the computer faculty, in the school premises. She updated students about the do’s and dont’s. She also laid emphasis upon the safe usage of the internet and how to secure ourselves from cyber crimes. The workshop was followed by inquisitive question hour session, where the curious students satisfied their doubts about the safe usage of the internet. The inspirational workshop motivated the students to further update the society around.

Life is beautiful when we have our questions answered!

Space is mysterious. It has always been charming – our childhood imagination. Why does the sun disappear at night? Why does moon change its shape?

The answers to all these questions are hidden in the world of Super Science. To quench the thirst of inquisitive minds of Xaverians of grade IV-VIII, a workshop on astronomy was conducted in the school premises on 13^th April, 2016. Mr. Deepak, a volunteer from Space Club enlightened the students with some amazing space facts and inspired them to learn more about cosmos.

The event had fun-filled activities which the students enjoyed with zeal and enthusiasm. It was an amazing learning experience for them as any day which brings opportunity to learn something new is a great day.

Teach me to rise, so that whenever I fall, I know how to get up and get going as success is achieved by those who strive hard for it.

St. Xavier’s has a motto to explore the unexplored, engage into it and coming out excelling into it. Yes! It was yet another learning opportunity which knocked the doors of St. Xavier’s high School and welcomed it with open arms. Aditya Srivastava, Gracie Arora from Grade VIII and Prakhar Mittal, Sujal Kumar and Aayushi Buttan of Grade VII got the opportunity to participate in the space workshop where very few reputed schools of Gurgaon got the opportunity. The workshop focused on the prestigious Sally Ride EarthKAM Mission under which the students could request for the pictures of their favorite chosen destinations using satellite camera. The students were enthralled to read about the fascinating space facts and updating themselves with the unknown information of the mysterious space. It is truly said, “The Universe desire you to have everything you want to have”.

• At St. Xavier’s High School we believe in constantly upgrading our knowledge and keeping abreast with the new age! For the same, the School organized a Workshop on STORY NARRATION AS A PART OF LIFE SKILL PROGRAMME for teachers of the Pre Primary wing on Saturday, 9th April ‘2016. The Life Skill, expert Ms. Mariah explained how story narration can be incorporated to bring values and ethics in the little minds. Also, emphasis was laid on using the same as a Public Speaking activity to enhance the personality of each child!
