Cloth Donation Drive at St. Xavier’s High School

“To be able to serve the needy with no sense of recompense is the greatest and the noblest deed for a human”

Students are like the blank pages of a diary and  the impression they form with the ink remains with them for a lifetime .It has to be a beautiful calligraphy all the time so that when you flip the pages of life it gives you memories to  cherish and treasure . Sudha Murthy once very beautifully said “When God gives you a better income, increase the standard of your giving and not just the standard of your living

This quote has been an inspiration for everyone who read it and what else could be a better occasion than Christmas to imbibe this in our life . To care and share the load of  winters .

The learners of  St. Xavier’s came forward and contributed generously for the Annual Cloth Donation Drive organized by the school from 23rd  December 2019  till 27th December 2019.  The clothes collected were shared with the needy  on the New Year Eve. The recipients had a respite from the biting cold and blessed the students for a progressive step towards humanity. Students felt elated as they could bring a smile to many. They also recalled the lesson that the universe is required to be in perfect harmony and only humanity can help it achieve. The year ended on a noble note with an inspiration that new beginnings are on its way.

“Being human is given. But keeping our humanity is a choice, because the greatness of humanity is not in being human, but in being humane”
